SERVING THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE POLICY

A quarter century of policy expertise at federal. state, and local levels, has solidified the fact that it's the people behind the policy that drive me. Investing in those whose lives and businesses are impacted by public policies increases opportunities and yields successful outcomes.

Strategic political insight, blended with a deep understanding of major regional industries, are a portion of what equips me to guide clients in policy conversations. It is my mission to carefully design plans that serve to activate solutions in support of the people and businesses of the Pacific Northwest’s booming and diverse economy.

Having previously led U.S. state and local policy engagement for NIKE Inc, the world's largest sports retailer and a Fortune 100 company, I spearheaded NIKE's policy advocacy with US governors, state legislators, county and city leaders on a wide variety of issues including cybersecurity/consumer privacy, taxation, trade, sustainability, labor, and collegiate athletics.

I previously advised three Members of Congress with successful legislative efforts ranging from renewable energy, public land management, two Farm Bills, various water and environmental regulations, appropriations, and surface and maritime transportation.

Prior to that, I spent nine years as Executive Director of the Idaho Grain Producers Association – the statewide advocacy voice of Idaho's wheat and barley producers and agribusinesses partners.

25 years of public policy experience across local, state, federal & international levels.

Travis Jones,

Principal

Travis grew up in Wallowa County, Oregon - an area three times the size of Rhode Island but with only 7,300 residents. He was raised working for all the family businesses - ranching, farming, logging, excavation and ready-mix concrete.

Jones holds a B.S. in Agricultural Business and an M.S. in Agricultural Economics, both from the University of Idaho. His passion for higher ed has translated to a long list of service to his alma mater, where he is the incoming president of the UI Alumni Association board of directors.

Travis has followed in his father Terry's footsteps volunteering in the sport of rodeo. Travis serves as an Associate Director on the board of the Caldwell Night Rodeo in Caldwell, Idaho while Terry is the president of Chief Joseph Days Rodeo in Joseph, Oregon.

He is a father to three children alongside wife Samantha, and enjoys all things sports, fitness, big game hunting, concerts, and spending time with his family.
